Systems allow speech between a person wanting to gain access through a controlled door and a person inside the building who can then admit the caller by pressing a button. Video door entry systems include the same audio link whilst enabling the occupant to both talk to and see the caller. Large blocks of flats may also include a porters switchboard to provide an intercom link between a concierge and the individual flats as well as to the main entrance. Where cabling is a difficulty, we are also able to offer PSTN based systems which require little more than a telephone line connection to the front door entrance panel.

Hard-wired burglar alarm systems, which were the only choice for many years, are now being challenged by the latest generation of wireless (wire free) burglar alarm systems. A burglar alarm system can be designed to protect the perimeter of premises using vibration or shock sensors or by a system of "space protection" using movement detectors such as PIR (passive infrared) or dual-technology (PIR plus microwave) detectors. These will be situated in key areas of the premises. It is of course possible to combine these two approaches for a "belt and braces" system where the very best intruder security protection is necessary. Our systems comply with current NSI regulations and can be bells only or monitored via your existing telephone line to either a monitoring station or a pre-determined set of telephone numbers such as your mobile phone or a key holder of your property.
